Working from Home Tips 💻 Cozy Mystery Boxset 📚 and Pinterest 📌

Hi Friend!

I saw so many mentions online around the holidays of how odd the week between Christmas and New Year is because it feels so "in-between." I think we need to talk about how "in-between" this time of year feels!

The holidays are over, but winter's not quite done. There are enough hints of spring that part of you wants to dive into spring projects, but the weather is chilly enough that you're still craving cozy evenings under a fuzzy blanket with a good book.

Spring is definitely on the horizon, but instead of rushing towards it, maybe we should let ourselves savor the last of winter before life gets busy with the warmer months. If you need a cozy mystery read to get you through the last of the chilly evenings, then check out my book rec for this month. It's a series boxset, so even if you're in the mood to binge-read, it's got you covered!

Working from home is an option that has gained traction over the last few years. I've been working remotely since 2009, and I wanted to share some of the things I've learned over the years that can help you successfully navigate working from home.

If you love Pinterest as much as I do, be sure to take a peek at my Pinterest boards! There's a link at the bottom of this newsletter, and I'd love to hear which boards caught your eye.

What I’ve Learned Working from Home

I’ve worked from home since well before the surge of remote work that occurred during the pandemic.

Over the years, I’ve learned so much–not only professionally, but about myself, setting limits, and much much more. As a homeschooling mom, I freelanced and wrote articles and reviews here and there before taking on a remote job. Landing my first remote editorial job all those years ago while still homeschooling was a huge blessing for me professionally (and for my pocketbook!), but it also required a shift in my daily schedule.

Along the way, I’ve learned some valuable lessons about the realities of working from home that I think are worth sharing.

Book Rec: Emily Cherry Cozy Mystery Box Set

This month’s book recommendation is a cozy mystery box set that’s perfect for winter book binges!

Emily Cherry is a retired grandmother who has a knack for solving mysteries. A thread of Emily’s own mystery is woven through the ten-book series, and since all of the books have released, there’s no waiting impatiently for the next book.

The box set is a great value, whether you’re reading the ebooks, or listening to the audiobooks. Either way, you’ll have hours of lighthearted cozy mysteries to enjoy!

See you next time!
